Well Known Poker Player and Writer Roy Brindley Joins Team VC For European Masters of Poker Coaching and Hosting

Dublin, Ireland: March 2nd, 2011: Victor Chandler Poker is pleased to announce it has signed well known poker player, writer, author and commentator Roy “The Boy” Brindley as Team VC Captain and Resident Pro.

Drinkhall wins Commonwealth Games Medals

Paul Drinkhall, England’s Number 1 table tennis player returns from the 2010 Commonwealth Games witha siliver and a bronze. His Silver was won in the team event, whilst he picked up the Bronze in the mixed doubles alongside Jo Parker.

Paul was disappointed not to collect a medal in the singles tournament, going down to the eventual Gold medalist Yang ZI from Singapore in the quarter finals.

Both Sprint Management and Sports Management Worldwide would like to congratulate Paul on his success at the Commonwealth Games and hope this will provide him with the confidence to rise up the world rankings.

Drinkhall India bound in quest for Commonwealth Medal

British Table Tennis Number 1, Paul Drinkhall, today leaves for India to represent England in the Commonwealth Games.

During the Games, Paul has a busy schedule. He will not only be attempting to win a medal in the Men’s singls, but also hopes to do well in the Doubles, Mixed Doubles and Team event.

Edson Edward makes debut for FC Dallas

Drinkhall China bound in quest for top 100 return

Paul Drinkhall has been given the unique opportunity to train with the Chinese National Table Tennis squad after a landmark agreement organised by the English Table Tennis Association.

The training camp ahead of the world renowned China Open later in the month, will allow Drinkhall to compete and learn against some of the best players in the world, an experience which is vital to his preparations for the London 2012 Olympics.

Prior to leaving for China Drinkhall commented;

“Training and playing in China is always and intense, challenging and enjoyable experience. I feel honoured to be given the rare opportunity to train with the Chinese National squad and some of the best players and coaches in the world.”

Last year Drinkhall captured the prestigious U21 China Open title. With an extended stay in China he hopes that the opportunity will stand him in good stead to regain his title. He commented;

“After a relaxing summer holiday I feel refreshed and excited about the China Open. Hopefully the training camp can inspire me to reach some decent form and I can defend my U21 title and return to the World’s top 100.”

The Harmony China Open takes place in Suzhou between the 18 & 22 August 2010. Coverage of the event will be featured on www.ittf.com.

Paul Drinkhall signs for Belgian Super Division Club Nodo

Paul Drinkhall has signed a one year playing contract with Belgian Super Division Club Nodo TTC Ekeren for 2010-11.

After two successive promotions and their first appearance in the Belgium Super Division, Ekren aim to build on their recent success and hopefully compete for honours in 2010-11.

On signing with Nodo TTC Ekeren Drinkhall commented;

“I am really looking forward to playing in the Belgium Super Division with Nodo. We have a good team and I believe we can surprise a few established teams this season. For me personally, playing in Belgium has given me a fresh challenge and the opportunity to develop my game in a competitive environment. An important part of my decision to join Nodo was the flexibility, allowing minimal disruption to my training schedule and preparations for the Commonwealth Games and London 2012.”

Drinkhall will be joined in the team by fellow Englishman Craig Bryant, Yannick Maes, and Pascal Closquin.
